Understanding Research and Preparing for Interviews

This week I worked on reviewing articles about corruption in corporate business practices, and how corporate law is dealing with the issues of it. I have analyzed cases of discriminatory hiring practices in the workforce and unethical work environments that violate human rights.

I have also looked at documents that describe the power of corporations and how they are intertwined with government entities.

Besides secondary research, I have also been preparing for an interview with an in-house counsel lawyer for Sodexo. This will be over a Zoom call next week. I have a list of questions prepared for the interview ranging from his work-life balance to why he decided to become a lawyer who specialized in corporate law.

During the interview, I will be taking notes on his responses and advice about corporate law, and I will use this in my primary research. After the interview, I will write an assessment that describes what I have learned from him, and how that will help me with my understanding of corporate law and my creation of my original work about my topic. I can use this advice in my podcast episodes that are planned to be my original work for ISM.
