This last week I worked on preparing myself for my upcoming symposium and diving deeper into corporate law research.
I worked on crafting a topic proposal over corporate law. In the proposal, I describe what my goal is for the year while exploring a specific part of corporate law which is understanding how contracts are negotiated and developed. In the topic proposal, I also described what sparked my interest in corporate law and my past experiences which will prepare me to flourish in a mentorship. This topic proposal is the basis for my topic project for the ISM program.
I also conducted more research on corporate law this week and wrote a research essay on the government's relationship with big corporations, and how the current government is trying to use laws to control the power that big corporations such as Amazon have over society as a whole. This research gave me perspective on the different economic models that big corporations use, and how some corporations like Google are being sued for their business practices.
Overall, this research has allowed me to see how different laws that were created in the past and present by the government affect how the government views and interacts with big business.
