This week I will be working on my original work project. I have decided to change my original work idea from a podcast episode to a pamphlet that discusses what corporate law is. I have been working on putting the images on my Google doc and adding text to explain different parts of corporate law.
I also have been making calls to schedule research interviews over corporate law. I will have one this week in Dallas with a big law lawyer specializing in mergers and acquisitions and private equity law. I will meet her on Friday morning to discuss her work and the advice she can give me on my future journey as a corporate lawyer.
After my interview, I will create a research assessment that will discuss what I have learned from my interview which I can also use in my original work as a primary source. This interview will expand my knowledge of my topic by exploring the intricacies of private equity and mergers and acquisitions instead of my last interview which focused on in-house counsel for a corporation. These differences within the umbrella of corporate law will help shape my original work in a way that will cause it to be very in-depth rather than surface-level.
