Thinking Outside of the Box

This week I worked on creating and practicing questions for an upcoming professional conference for business professionals and for students participating in the ISM program in FISD. Crafting these questions has given me the opportunity to broaden my ideas of what to ask future mentor candidates when I go on interviews with them later on this year.

Along with creating questions for this conference, I have created a professional resume in order for me to be able to hand them out after connecting with individuals at the event. Creating a professional resume allows me to better connect myself to my subject of interest which is corporate law. I was able to list my extracurricular, academic achievements, and personal skills in a way that shows my capabilities for a future mentor.

After creating my questions and resume, I researched 5 different corporate law news articles and dissected them in an annotated bibliography where I describe in depth about how these cases are relevant to corporate law as a whole, and I also described with evidence why these cases are credible which I did by describing where the information came from and the authority that the people in the articles had over these sub-sections of corporate law.

My goal for next week is to finalize my resume to be prepared for my upcoming conference and to conduct more research into the intricacies of corporate and how it intersects with other types of law.
